Creativity

Today, I wanna comment about a video. It talks about creativity and the way it connects with education.
Ken Robinson says that creativity and children's abilities must be stimulated at school, but it doesn't happen, because school system only prepare adults who will be useful for the industrialism. That's why the most important subjects are mathematics and languages, but other subjects, as dance or art, are in the end of the list. Children don't recieve the encouragement that they need, so probably, a child who has a great talent for dance or music won't be an incredible dancer or artist, because the whole system, including school and family, thinks that kind of careers are just a hobby.
I agree with him, because I think we must contribute with intelligence development, and we must promote all the children's abilities, including those abilities that we find out of the school system. Another important theme is the posibility of make a mistake. Children feel that if they make a mistake, they will be considerated as fool children, because teachers have teached them that. They don't know that the best way to learn is learn form their own mistakes.
Really, I hope someday society appreciates an artist or an actor (not hollywood's actor) just like it appreciates a lawyer or an engineer. Also, I hope a girl who needs moving to think, could be considerated as a dancer, and not a sick girl who needs medicine.
Bye!
